Great day for all as Navan RFC players make their senior provincial debuts

On Saturday (10th August) Navan RFC's Cara Martin and Rosie Searle made their senior provincial debuts for Leinster and Connacht respectively in the round one match of the Vodafone Women's Interprovincial Championship, player in Energia Park, Donnybrook.
Both players were part of the Navan RFC Women's 1st XV squad which won a Leinster League Division 3 and Paul Cusack Cup double last season.
Martin played at inside-centre for Leinster alongside Irish international Aoife Dalton and was involved in Leinster's counter attacking play and defence throughout the game until being substituted midway in the second half.
Searle who attends and plays University rugby for the University of Galway, played the full-game at second row and was involved in much of Connacht's defensive and forward pack attacking efforts.

Among the mascots that came out with the Leinster team prior to kick-off was Lucy Fletcher from Navan RFC's U12 Girls team, who had the honour of walking out with Leinster & Ireland player Linda Djougang out onto the pitch in Energia Park.
