New 30kph speed limits to be introduced in eight local housing estates

New 30kph speed limits are to be introduced in eight local housing estates in Trim Municipal District Area.

The estates that will be included in the special speed limit were outlined at the October meeting of Trim MD. They are: St Columba's Terrace and Woodfield in Ballivor; Coachyard Manor and The Courtyard in Enfield; Moyview and the Meadows in Kildlakey, Hillview in Summerhill and Effernock Manor in Trim.

Cllr Aisling Dempsey also asked for an update on Maudlin Vale in Trim and was told it could not be included as the estate has not yet been taken in charge by the council.

Cllr Ronan Moore asked that the council look at safety measures in the housing estates and a list be compiled with timelines.
