Ratoath physio joins election race as an independent
Ratoath-based physiotherapist, Sivakumar Murugadoss, has confirmed he will seek election in the Meath East constituency as an independent candidate in the forthcoming General Election.
Having run as an independent candidate in the Ashbourne electoral area in June's local elections, he has now decided to throw his hat in the ring in the Meath east constituency.
"Having lived in Ireland for the past 21 years, I established my roots in Ratoath in 2008 and successfully run a physiotherapy clinic in Ashbourne. I understand the unique challenges and strengths of our community," he said.
"With a background as a physiotherapist and a commitment to public service, I am excited to put forward my candidacy and share my journey in Ireland. From the moment I arrived, I recognised that this vibrant community was not just the place where I would build my professional life; it was also where I wanted to give back and make a meaningful impact.
"Over the years, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge in my field, which has equipped me to contribute positively to the community. My commitment to fostering strong connections, supporting local initiatives, and empowering others drives my desire to support our community further.
"I believe that, together, we can create a brighter future, and I am eager to play an active role in that process.
"As an alumnus of RCSI, I not only value education but also the transformative power it holds in our lives. I have seen the challenges that families face and have first hand experience in how our healthcare and education systems can be improved. I am married to Kalpana, and together we have two wonderful children who attend school in Ratoath. Like you, I want the best for my family and our communities," he said.
