Towns get festive as Christmas lights are switched on

Towns in Meath will be lighting up with festive cheer as Meath County Council switches on the Christmas lights over the coming days.

Ashbourne's tree was first to light up last Friday evening while next up is Trim with the official switching on of the Christmas tree lights taking place this evening (Thursday) at 5.30pm at the Courthouse.

Navan follows tomorrow (Friday) at 5.30pm at Kennedy Plaza when Navan Silver Band will be performing favourite Christmas carols.

The lights in Bettystown will be switched on at 6pm on Saturday, while Dunboyne's lights will be switched on at 8pm that evening.

On Sunday, 1st December, the Christmas lights in Kells will be turned on at 5.30pm.
