The Tidy Towns Group is supporting the Joshua Community in their appeal for Christmas presents for the homeless as well Core Ireland and Athboy's People Who Share Care Group who will be delivering hampers and vouchers to families living in homeless accommodation.

The Joshua Community is appealing for donations of presents, which will be given to the homeless on Christmas Day at the Joshua Drop-In Centre on Kennedy Road after their Christmas Dinner served by Joshua's own wonderful volunteers.

"We are encouraging people to buy warm new clothing like coats, jumpers, hats, scarves, gloves, after shave, perfume toiletries etc. Wrap them with seasonal wrapping paper and mark them male and female."

The gifts can be dropped off at the Joshua Drop-In Centre on Kennedy Road, Navan or contact Gary at Joshua on 087 4019299 or Cllr Alan Lawes 085 1757216.

The Johnstown group is also working in partnership with Core Ireland and Athboy's People Who Share Care Group and being supported by Meath Co Council for another year. They will be delivering Christmas hampers, toys and vouchers to families living in Emergency Accommodation and poverty in Co Meath.
