Leinster SFC and underage fixtures confirmed

Leinster GAA have released the fixtures for their various inter-county championships.

Last October, we found out that Robbie Brennan's Meath would be playing Carlow in the opening round of the Leinster SFC championship. It has been confirmed by Leinster GAA that that game will take place on Sunday, April 6th at 3pm in Pairc Tailteann.

Robbie Brennan will be hoping his side can use the home advantage in their favour and kick off the 2025 championship with with a win. The local interest levels in the contest will be high and there is sure to be a large crowd in attendance to witness the Dunboyne man's first championship game in charge of the Royals.

Should Meath get the better of Carlow in the first round, they will then face a slightly tougher task against Offaly on Sunday the 13th of April. The last time Meath met the Faithful County in a Leinster SFC game was in 2023 and that day it was Offaly who came out on top by a point. Should Meath get to this stage, they will be hoping for a better result this time around.

It has also been confirmed that the LGFA Leinster final and the Leinster SFC final will be once again a doubleheader. After Laois' relegation in 2024, only Meath, Dublin and Kildare will compete in the LGFA senior Leinster competition this year. Shane McCormack's side will be hopeful of reaching another provincial decider.

The u-20 men's fixtures have also been released. Meath u-20 footballers have been drawn into a group with Dublin, Offaly and Westmeath. In their first game, Meath will have home advantage against Dublin on Wednesday the 26th of March.

The u-20 hurlers will have to play Ulster and Westmeath in the group stage of the Leinster Tier 2 competition. They face our neighbours Westmeath away on March 29th.

The minor footballers have been drawn alongside Westmeath, Longford and Kildare with their opening clash taking place at home to Westmeath on March 29th. The minor hurlers will kick off their campaign against Offaly a week earlier on March 22nd.
