Meath look to continue good run of form against the Lilywhites

Meath Ladies will take on the manager's Shane McCormack's native Kildare on Sunday

Meath will look to continue their good run of form this weekend when they meet Leinster rivals Kildare in the fourth round of the Div 1 Ladies NFL at St Peter's Dunboyne, this Sunday. Having narrowly survived a scare from Waterford last time out, Meath come into this clash with three wins from three games in the division so far.

Manager Shane McCormack was not overly impressed with his side's performance last time out and he will be hoping for a better showing against his native Lilywhites.

Despite losing to Kerry last time out, Kildare have shown fantastic improvement this year with the highlight being a massive victory over Dublin.

That day against the Dubs, Kildare held a 1-5 to 0-2 point lead at halftime and their first half-goal proved to be decisive in the end. Therefore the Royals must get off to a good start in this clash.

On that same line of thinking, Meath can take great confidence from the fact that they got off to an unbelievable start against Waterford and for the first 15 minutes played some lovely football.

There is no doubt that Meath have the talent in their attack that can get the better of any defence in the country at the moment. The fluency with which they advance the ball up the pitch has been, at times, unstoppable. If Meath can sustain that momentum going forward for 60 minutes, there is only going to be one winner, and it won't be Pat Sullivan's Kildare outfit.

Meath starting 15 against Kildare- Robyn Murray; Aine Sheridan, Sarah Wall, Katie Newe; Niamh Gallogly, Mary Kate Lynch, Clodagh Millington; Katie Bermingham, Ella Moyles; Megan Thynne, Orlaith Sheehy, Ciara Smyth; Meadhbh Byrne, Vikki Wall, Kerrie Cole.
