Football league
Derry and Tyrone are both staring down the barrel of relegation from Division One of the Allianz National Football League this afternoon.
Defending champions Derry were beaten by Donegal with Jim McGuinness' side coming out on top by 1-22 to 1-19.
Meanwhile a last-gasp Shane Walsh free meant unbeaten Galway grabbed a 1-18 all draw with Tyrone at Tuam Stadium.
The results leave Derry bottom with one point from five games and Tyrone just above them on three points with two games left.
Hurling league
In Division 1A of the hurling league, Limerick are hosting Clare with that one into the second half.
It's Clare who lead that one 1-12 to 14 points at the Gaelic Grounds.
In Division 1B, Waterford needed a late rally to beat Dublin by 1-23 to 2-18.
Meanwhile Offaly came from behind to beat Westmeath 1-22 to 19 points and Carlow and Antrim played out a 1-21 to 2-18 draw.
Women's football
Armagh made it five wins out of five in Division One of the women's football league this afternoon.
They got the better of Kildare by 2-15 to 1-7 at Silverbridge Harps.
Waterford smashed Tyrone by 6-15 to 6 points, and Kerry came away from Mayo with a 2-8 to 4 point win.
Soccer
Danny Welbeck was the hero for Brighton as he sent them into the quarter finals of the FA Cup.
The striker's extra time goal was enough to see the Seagulls get past Newcastle 2-1 in the fifth round this afternoon.
Anthony Gordon received a red card for the Magpies and is set to miss the League Cup final against Liverpool as a result.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Fulham are aiming to join Brighton in the next round.
Alejandro Garnacho has been left on the bench after his reaction to be being substituted against Ipswich.
Golf
Jake Knapp has a one-shot lead going into the final round of the Cognizant Classic in Florida.
He's 16-under-par with fellow American Michael Kim his nearest challenger.
Shane Lowry is 9-under, in a tie for 25th and seven shots off the lead.
Former convict Ryan Peake has qualified for this year's Open at Portrush after winning the New Zealand Open golf tournament.
The Australian - who was part of a motorcycle gang - served five years in prison for assault.
Because of his conviction, Peake will need clearance to travel to the competition.
