Down Syndrome Ireland members from the Louth/Meath branch were among those invited by Taoiseach Micheál Martin to launch the Lots of Socks Campaign.
Liam Foley from Hill of Down and Dualta Callan from Trim attended the launch event which kicks off a month long celebration ahead of World Down Sydrome Day on 21st March.
Local Special Olympian Liam Foley explained: “World Down Syndrome Day is very important to me because a lot of people have disabilities, including me.
“It’s very important to celebrate that. I’m very proud to be here.”
