Gardaí investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a baby in Co Meath

Gardaí are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of a baby at a residential property in Co. Meath that was reported last night, Thursday 13th March 2025.

The deceased baby has been removed to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination which will take place in due course.

The State Pathologist will conduct the post-mortem examination, the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.

Gardaí say they are aware of the sensitivities surrounding this investigation and will be treating it as such.

Investigations are ongoing.
