Big win sets Navan up for AIL play-offs
With one of their biggest wins ever in the AIL Navan completed their Div 2A programme at home when they trounced Dolphin 83-7 at Balreask Old today.
Bryan McKeever capped his 100th senior appearance for the club with a hat-trick of tries in the opening half with Navan going in at the break leading 45-0.
Riaan Van Der Vyver also cut lose scoring two tries for the home side over the course of the one-sided contest while Paddy Fox grabbed two. Darragh Magee, James O'Neill, Colm O'Reilly, Ronan Scott, Evan Dixon and James McInerney were others to get touchdowns in the rout with Brian Haugh, Colm O'Reilly and Willie Staunton contributing a series of conversions.
The win was a step closer to ensuring that Navan will now be facing Cashel away in the semi-final of the play-offs.
