Man killed in road collision

One man has died at the scene of a fatal car accident in Meath last night.

Gardai have confirmed one male fatality in his 40s died after being struck by a car near R162 (Navan to Nobber road) near the Cross Guns Pub at Butlerstown after 10.30pm tonight. 

Gardai are currently at the scene of the serious road traffic collision on the R162 (Navan to Nobber road).

They are warning that the road is closed and diversions are being put in place. These are likely to remain in place overnight
