Early start for NECSL players at MDL
There was an early start today for many young footballers in the county as the NECSL cup finals got underway at the MDL this morning with Trim Celtic u-15s one of those teams to make an impact.
Four finals kicked off at 10am and one of the games was Trim Celtic v Parkvilla in the u-15 showdown with the Hoops recording a 4-0 victory, all the goals were scored in the second-half.
Conor O'Hare grabbed two goals for the Hoops with Sean McDonnell and Ciaran Caulfield also netting.
In all 10 finals were down for decision today ranging in age groups from the u-11 Colm Cooper Cup between Dunshaughlin Youths and Trim Celtic to the u-17 decider between Johnstown and Borora Juniors. There was also an u-17 Girls final between Parkvilla and Cavan Shamrocks. The games attracted a big crowd to the MDL grounds.
