Devenish delighted to sponsor Meath football
Devenish Nutrition were officially announced as the new sponsor of the Meath senior football team at a special function in Dunganny to unveil a new jersey for 2017.
The new jersey, which is strikingly similar to the old with the exception of the change of sponsor and the removal of a darker shade of green band from across the chest area, has already received wide acclaim nationally.
Players Graham Reilly and Donal Keogan modelled the new home shirt which is now emblazoned with 'Devenish Beyond Nutrition' across the chest while Paddy O'Rourke sported the new goalkeeper's jersey while also announcing that he was now back from injury.
'This is the start of something special for us, a new partnership,' said Meath Co Board chairman Conor Tormey.
'When Gerry McEntee introduced us to Owen Brennan last year he told us that his two sporting passions were Munster rugby and Meath GAA, so we are delighted to welcome Devenish Nutrition on board and looking forward to working with you for the next three years.
'Owen has shown tremedous passion for Meath GAA over the last few weeks, he came down to a training session to meet the players and when the players were down and out after the loss to Louth Owen went into the dressing room and went around to a number of the players to encourage them and I knowe they really appreciated that.
'Hopefully 2017 will be an exciting year for us. Not only have we a new sponsor, but we also have a new manager and backroom team and we all want to wish everyone involved well and we hope they can make this jersey proud,' concluded the chairman.

Executive chairman of Devenish Nutrition Owen Brennan is a Carlow man living in Kilbride for a substantial period of his life and his passion for Meath football is obvious.
'Before I came to live in Meath I had admired Meath football for many years,' Brennan said at the launch opf his company's sponsorship of the Meath senior football team.
'There were two things that characterised Meath football, one was that they played without watching the clock and they played without watching the scoreboard and both were meant to signify that everything was left out on the field and the game was never over until the final whistle blew.
'We are aware of the enormous committment that is required to be at the top of your game and I feel that that is not always recognised by people, so to have the opportunity to help is something I am very supportive of. We are very pleased and proud as a company to join in with that effort,' said Brennan.
