To Choose is the right option for Gibney again
Meath trainer Tom Gibney is getting a good run of form from the ultra-relaible To Choose which won against at Dundalk tonight after also winning there last week.
Trim jockey Colin Keane was on board the 7/2 favourite and made steady ground in the home straight for a half-length victory over another Meath horse, the Keith Clarke-trained Poitin. The Gavin Cromwell-trained Political Policy was fourth.
Moynalty jockey Declan McDonogh was on the mark and broke the track record when winning with Caspian Prince in the Listed Mercury Stakes for Yorkshire trainer Roger Fell.
Caspian Prince won in a time of 57.10 for the five-furlong event and edged out the Eddie Lynam-trained Moviesta which is owned by Harry Redknapp.
The record was previouslyheld by the Derek Iceton-owned Balmont Mast (57.35) which was also trained by Eddie Lynam and won the race in 2012 with Johnny Murtagh on board.
Agher-based Sheila Lavery added to her tally for the season with a good winner at Dundalk tonight also when Sevenleft won a thrilling finish to the concluding seven-furlong handicap with Gary Carroll on board.
