Armed robbery at Mornington store
Gardaí at Laytown are appealing for information following an armed robbery at the Centra store in Mornington last night.
Three males entered the premises at 9.05pm and confronted staff. One of the raiders was carrying a firearm, and another had what appeared to be a golf club. They forced staff to hand over cash and cigarettes.
One of the culprits was carrying a pink coloured duvet which the cigarettes were put into. One of the raiders is described as being tall, of thin build, and was wearing a dark jacket with the hood pulled up, grey tracksuit bottoms and dark runners. He was also wearing black and grey gloves and carried what appeared to be a golf club.
A second raider, who was carrying a firearm, worn a grey/green hoody with a circular logo on the front. He wore a 'Vendetta' mask covering his face and had his hood pulled up. He also wore black and grey gloves. He wore blue Adidas tracksuit bottoms and dirty white/grey runners. He spoke with a Dublin accent.
The third culprit wore all dark clothing, a dark hoody and trousers and a baseball cap.
The raiders left the scene in what is described as a gold coloured car, possibly an old model Mazda 323.
