Navan native brings 30 more jobs to town
Navan is looking at a massive jobs boost over the next year or two with the announcement of an additional 30 jobs at Prepaid Financial Services (PFS) in the IDA Business Park in the coming years.
The town is also poised to become a major player in the financial technology (FinTech) world rivalling Dublin as a hub for the sector.
The alternative banking provider and financial technology specialist PFS, which is owned by Navan native, Noel Moran, announced this week the creation of 50 new jobs in the UK, Ireland and Malta with 30 of those jobs based in the company's Navan offices, eCOMM Merchant Solutions. These jobs are expected to be filled in the next five to six months.
Mr Moran also indicated this week that he hopes to create many more jobs for Navan, possibly up to 200 over the next two to three years.
He also indicated that he was working on some initiatives regarding a FinTech hub with the county council.
The Commons Road native is a finalist in the Irish Times Ernest and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Competition in the international category and was also delighted this week to see the team he sponsors, Bective, win the Meath Junior Football Championship. His father was a founding member of the club half a century ago.
