Appeal over stolen motorbike
Gardai investigating the theft of a distinctive motorbike from the Garlow Cross area last week are appealing for information.
The motorbike- a Yamaha YZ 125- had a number of special features. The name 'Frank' is printed under the 75 on the side faring. The wheels are gold and the addition of a large chrome exhaust is unique to this type of bike.
A lot of these parts were imported specially from the USA. The bike belongs to a young man who invested a lot of his time and money from summer jobs into rebuilding the bike for competition use.
According to Gardai, the bike was stolen at around 4am on Friday morning, 23rd September when a garage was entered.
The bike was wheeled down the road where it was put into what may have been a small van. Two other neighbouring premises were also burgled in the same time frame.
A ‘Stihl’ petrol powered hedge trimmer and ‘Gardenworks’ strimmer were taken from one. The other premises were forcibly entered but nothing taken.
Anybody who has information on these crimes or that might be able to assist in recovering this motorbike is asked to contact Navan Garda Station on (046) 9079930 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
