Mulvany has the knack - give him his Dew!
Local trainer Michael Mulvany has developed the knack of winning races in quick succession with his horses and that view was backed up after Dew Line recorded a second win of the week at the Listowel Festival yesterday.
Dew Line appears to relish the Kerry air as it was a third course win and with Moynalty jockey Declan McDonogh on board the duo won a handicap and the 3/1 favourite was cheered home by the large crowd.
McDonogh held off the challenge of Theos Well inside the final furlong and won by half length to add to a win just 48 hours earlier on the Wednesday with McDonogh also on board.
Three of the four wins have been achieved at the Kerry track and number four was last October at Navan - distances beteween nine and 12 furlongs.
Last July Mulvany won two races with Jembatt in the space of 24 hours at Tipperary and Bellewstown and on that occasion the trainer described Jembatt as 'a tough old horse that would nearly drive the lorry.”
It is understood that Jembatt has been giving 'driving lessons' to Dew Line!!!!
However, the trainer is likely to be cheering his native Dublin this weekend as they bid for more All-Ireland SFC success against Mayo on Sunday.
