St Ultan's retain Ladies SFC crown
Four goals in the opening 18 minutes laid the platform for St Ultan's to retain their Ladies SFC title with a stunning 4-7 to 0-11 final victory over Boardsmill at Pairc Tailteann on Sunday afternoon.
In difficult conditions St Ultan's used all their experience to race into a 4-0 to 0-1 lead with Ciara Murray (two), Katie O'Brien and Ger Doherty bagging the goals.
Boardsmill never gave up and gave themselves hope with points from Laura Griffin and Laura Bagnall helping them close the gap to 0-5 to 4-1 by half-time, but St Ultan's held them at arms lenght after tyhe break and held on to seal thetr third title.
