Funeral arrangements for fr joe garvey

The death has occurred of Very Reverend Joseph Garvey PE, retired Parish Priest of Curraha.

Ordained in 1971, he served in Lima (Peru), Northhampton (UK),  Longwood, Eglish, Phoenix (USA) and Dunsany before his appointment as parish priest of Curraha in 1989. He retired in September 2006.

His remains are reposing at St Andrew’s Church, Curraha, today (Monday) from 7pm, concluding with Night Prayer at 9pm. Requiem Mass is on Tuesday at 12 noon with burial in the Church grounds.
