Keane on the mark at Dundalk

There wasn't too much Meath success at Dundalk tonight, but Trim jockey Colin Keane kept the Royal County flag flying when he coaxed a winning run out of Rocking The Blue which bolted clear in the final furlong to win for Athlone owner Siobhan Gallagher.

Keane partnered the winner for trainer Ado McGuinness and had six and a half lengths to spare at the post from Carraigin Aonair.

SUNDAY
Looking ahead to Navan on Sunday, local trainers could feature in the winners' enclosure on St Valentine's Day.

Tony Martin expects Dedigout to put up a spirited defence of his crown in the Ladbrokes Ireland Boyne Hurdle.

Dedigout is one of three runners for Gigginstown with Gordon Elliott's Christmas Hurdle winner Prince Of Scars and the Sandra Hughes-trained Lieutenant Colonel also set to run.

Andrew McNamara will saddle his first runner as a trainer with Val De Ferbet running for the first time since he was pulled up in the French Champion Hurdle at Auteuil last June.

Noel Meade's Snow Falcon - in the lead when falling in the Christmas Hurdle at Leopardstown - completes the field.

The first race at Navan is at 2pm on a seven-race card.
