Hurlers into Kehoe Cup final
Meath hurlers advanced to the final of the Kehoe Cup with a 0-17 to 0-10 victory over Wicklow at Trim today. This was an impressive display by meath who were ahead by 0-9 to 0-4 after playing with the substantial first-half wind. Wicklow clsoed the gap to the minimum (0-9 to 0-10) 12 minutes into the second-half, but Meath upped the tempo and dictated the remainder for am merited victory. Wicklow finished with 14 men following a late red card for Eugene Dunne. Meath will play Kildare in the final next Sunday - venue to be announced.
