Meath v Leitrim postponed today

Today's SF challenge game between Meath and Leitrim (5pm) at Dunganny for the Oldcastle GAA club-promoted Michael Reynolds Cup has been postponed due to the weather conditions.

The game was originally scheduled to take place at Milbrook, Oldcastle, but earlier this week was moved to the Meath GAA Centre of Excellence at Dunganny due to the heavy rain that could have ruled the Millbrook venue out.

However, a decision was taken this morning that the game would be postponed at Dunganny also.

Oldcastle officials confirmed to the Meath Chronicle that they 'hope' the game might be scheduled for next weekend - but this is not confirmed at this stage.

The Meath panel for the game would have featured players who had not been part of the 2015 panel as manager Mick O'Dowd and his new selectors Declan McCabe and Brendan Murphy continue to build for 2016 with the first game set for Sunday 3rd January in the O'Byrne Cup.

ALSO POSTPONED

The football and hurling interprovincial championship fixtures scheduled for this weekend are off due to the weather.
Three Meath players were included in the football - Donal Keogan, Stephen Bray and Graham Reilly while Mickey Burke was in the hurling panel.

The racing at Navan today was cancelled also after 20mm of rain overnight and while the course was still deemed raceable early this morning Turf Club officials cancelled the meeting shortly before 9am.

Tomorrow's scheduled meeting at Cork was cancelled yesterday morning and rescheduled for Sunday 13th December.

Punchestown's Grade 1 fixture tomorrow goes ahead at present but an 8am precautionary inspection will be held in the morning.
