Feis cup for gaeil colmcille

Gaeil Colmcille took the Feis Cup home to Kells on Sunday evening after the negotiated Na Fianna in the decider by 0-15 to 1-11, but they needed extra-time to get their hands on the trophy.

Gaeil Colmcille looked like they would win in normal time, but conceded a late goal and it was left to Brian Hanlon to seal the victory with the winning points in extra-time, his seventh of the afternoon.

Credit has to go to both teams for serving up hugely entertaining encounter in wet and breezy conditions on the day.

Best for Na Fianna were Ollie Lewis, Dean Hendrick, Conor Downey, Shane Barrett and Dalton McDonagh while Mikey Collins didn’t put a foot wrong in goal standing in for regular goalie Shane Geraghty.
