Hardearned victory for carnaross
Carnaross took the spoils from a hard-fought JFC third round tussle against Drumconrath at Kilmainhamwood this evening when they emerged with a 1-8 to 0-8 victory.
What was more notable about this game was the amount of chances that Drumconrath missed - that included a goal chance from about two yards in the second minute and penalty in the second-half to name two.
Carnaross were fortunate to be only 0-2 to 0-5 adrift at the interval, but they improved after the resumption and when Charles Brogan found the net at the three-quarter stage it gave them a great lift.
Elsewhere in the JFC tonight there were wins for Bective and Kilmainhamwood.
See all the results below and a short (not the best quality ever) video clip of the Drumconrath penalty miss.
