Two taken to hospital following collision

Two women were removed by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, this morning following a two-car collision on the Navan-Trim Road.  

The accident occurred around 8.30am at Balgill Cross.

Both drivers were taken to hospital.

It is understood their injuries are not serious. Navan Fire Service and Navan Gardai also attended the scene.

There were traffic delays for a time approaching the scene and many motorists took alternative routes. The road is now clear.
