Longwood shock Kilmessan

Longwood produced a major shock in tonight's SHC quarter-final as they edged out favourites Kilmessan with a stunning 1-11 to 0-12 victory in Pairc Tailteann. Anthony Healy top scored for the winners with eight pointed frees. Ryan Moore's goal had ensured Longwood were level 1-5 to 0-8 at the break despite playing against the wind. In a fractious, but exciting, second-half the sides weren't separated until two Healy frees and a superb point from Aaron Ennis put Longwood in the clear. Kilmessan's Nicky Horan was sent-off seconds before the final whistle.
