Expanding enterprise centre set to create 30 jobs

Work on an extension to the Navan Enterprise Centre, which will see the creation of 30 new jobs, could be underway by mid-October. The planning of the new 10,000sq feet extension to the centre on the Trim Road is almost complete and the €800,000 development is likely to take up to six months to finish. The new extension will pave the way for one of the centre's largest and longest serving tenants, Epicom Ireland, to expand its business and create much-needed jobs in the area. It is expected the company will create at least 30 new jobs at the centre over the next six to 12 months. The proposed extension will also allow the Navan Enterprise Centre to push ahead with the creation of its new Food Innovation and Technology Hub. Gary O'Meara of the enterprise centre said there were plans for the centre to provide training, mentoring and support services to local SMEs, start-ups, entrepreneurs and graduates in the food sector through the new Food Innovation and Technology Hub. "We have big plans for the Navan Enterprise Centre over the next 18-24 months and this extension is a big but positive step in the right direction," he said.
