Four meath players feature in republic of ireland panels

Meath players Amanda McQuillan, Kevin Toner, Darragh Lenihan and Dylan Connolly have all been included in Republic of Ireland panels for games this week and next week.
 
Ashbourne man Kevin Toner has been included in the Republic of Ireland u-19 panel by head coach Paul Doolin  for two friendly international games against Sweden this week.
 
Ireland will meet Sweden on Wednesday and once again on Friday as they prepare for the forthcoming UEFA u-19 Championships qualifying round  in November.
 
Doolin’s side beat the Netherlands 1-0 in September in their opening friendly game of the season thanks to a first half penalty from Eoghan Stokes.

AMANDA MCQUILLAN
Johnstown, Navan girl Amanda McQuillan has been included in the REPUBLIC of Ireland u-17 panel by head coach Dave Connell  for the forthcoming UEFA WU17 Championships Qualifying Round Group 4 in Serbia next week.
 
The Irish will meet Lithuania, Romania and the hosts Serbia over the course of the tournament. The winners and runners-up of the groups go through along with the required number of third-placed teams with the best record against the first and second-placed teams, to ensure there are 24 sides in the next phase.
 
Ireland recently had two friendly games against Denmark in preparation for this campaign. They won the first game 1-0 then lost the second game 3-5.
 
“We have everybody back fit after a couple of players picked up knocks in the friendlies against Denmark and they all should be okay, goalkeeper Amanda McQuillan is fit again after a fractured thumb,' stated Connell.

REPUBLIC of Ireland U21 head coach Noel King has made four changes to his squad for Thursday’s friendly international against Norway in Drammen (6.00pm Irish) with two Meath players now in the squad, Dylan Connolly, a former Johnstown and NECSL player and Darragh Lenihan from Dunboyne. 
King has called up Fulham defender Sean Kavanagh, Dundee FC striker Philip Roberts, Shelbourne winger Dylan Connolly and Kenny McEvoy, who is on-loan at Peterborough United from Tottenham.
