Kiltale and trim to meet in shc showdown
Kiltale and Trim will meet each other in the SHC final after they won their respective semi-finals at Pairc Tailteann today.
In the curtain-raiser to the double header Trim edged out Dunboyne by 0-17 to 1-11 with Stephen Moran scoring the goal for Dunboyne.
James Toher showed the way for Trim with seven points, six from placed balls, while Alan Douglas was also prominent for them with five points from play.
Douglas, however, had to leave the fray with an injury in the second-half and is a doubt for the final.
In the second game Kiltale and Kildalkey played out a low-wattage encounter that was short of entertainment value.
Kiltale finally won the day by 0-14 to 0-11 with Jack Regan scoring seven points from frees and two from play.
Young players such as Fergal McCabe, Ross Ryan, Kevin Ryan and Ronan Ryan came on to play big parts in helping to turn the game around for Kiltale, who trailed by 0-3 to 0-7 at the interval.
Dunderry and Kilskyre will meet in the IHC decider after the overcame Ratoath and Drumree in their respective semi-finals in Trim.
Dunderry snatched a late win with Jordan martin's goal giving them a thrilling 3-15 to 1-20 win over ratoath, while the second game was a dour encounter with Kilskyre emerging 2-11 to 1-8 winners.
Kilmessan were crowned the Senior Camogie champions for the sixth time in a row when they defeated Dunboyne by 3-17 to 0-5 in the final at Rathmolyon this evening.
