Injury sidelines Kenny
Meath's Seamus Kenny is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after he sustained an injury in the Leinster SFC first round against Wicklow at Dr Cullen Park on Sunday. Kenny was replaced after only nine minutes on Sunday last and initially it was thought they he would only be out for about two weeks. However, news today indicates that the injury is more serious and the Simonstown Gaels clubman is unlikely to play for Meath again this year. It is understood that the team captain has a cruciate ligament injury and faces a lengthy spell out of the game.
