Carr on the road again
Paddy Carr has been appointed to the helm of top Roscommon GAA club side and county champions St Brigid's who won the All-Ireland club title in 2013, but lost to Ballintubber in the Connacht club semi-final this year.
Carr, who lives in Navan and is well-known in Meath GAA circles, replaces Benny O'Brien at the helm of the Roscommon club - O'Brien stepped down after that defeat by Ballintubber.
Carr had been interviewed for the Donegal manager's job and will have a strong panel of players when he sets out on the club championship trail in Roscommon next year.
Both Frankie Dolan and Senan Kilbride are expected to be available for the next campaign.
