Lloyd Webber concert this weekend at Solstice Theatre
November sees acclaimed cellist Julian Lloyd Webber tour Ireland as part of his 60th birthday celebrations. Beginning at the Royal Theatre in Castlebar, and taking in Navan, Julian, who will be accompanied by pianist Pam Chowhan, will perform favourite classics by Bach, Faure, Saint Saens and Debussy, as well as pieces by his father William and brother Andrew, in 'Travels With My Cello: An Evening with Julian Lloyd Webber'. During the evening Julian shares with the audience reminiscences on his many collaborations with musicians as diverse as Yehudi Menuhin, Joaquin Rodrigo, jazz greats Cleo Laine and Stephane Grappelli, as well as Elton John and, of course, his brother Andrew, in this entertaining and enlightening show. There is also a Q&A session where Julian takes questions and reads short extracts from his book, 'Travels With My Cello.' Bookings for 'Travels With My Cello: An Evening with Julian Lloyd Webber', supported by RT lyric fm, can be made through the venue box offices. He performs in Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, this Friday, 4th November. For more details on Julian Lloyd Webber or the tour visit www.julianlloydwebber.com.
