Ballinlough best in north Meath derby
Ballinlough chalked up their first win in the IFC when they defeated Nobber 2-15 to 0-12 at Carlanstown this evening with former Meath player Brian Farrell shown a red card.
Farrell was dismissed just before the break and at the interval his team trailed 0-6 to 1-10.
Kevin Devine netted the first-half goal for Ballinlough with Colm Mallen adding a second shortly before the end.
Devine ended up with 1-6 while the impressive Peadar Byrne tagged on three from play.
Niall Farrell was Nobber's top marksman with four points, three from frees.
