Woman dies following Trim collision

A woman in her 60s has died following a two-car collision on the outskirts of Trim. The crash happened on the Athboy Road at 6.50 pm on Thursday 22nd May.

The deceased woman was the driver of one of the cars and was taken from the scene by ambulance to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, suffering from a serious leg injury. She died from her injuries in the early hours of this morning 23rd May. The driver of the other car was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
