Trim students attempt to score for their school on TG4
Boyne Community School, Trim, will feature on the popular TG4 sports programme ‘Seó Spóirt’ at 8.30pm this evening.
The Trim secondary school is one that has nurtured many of Meath’s greatest GAA players through the years. Past pupils like Darren Fay, Mark Reilly, Nigel Nestor and Kevin Foley, to name but a few, have all gone on to represent their county with distinction.
This week it is the turn of some of Meath’s younger stars to put Boyne Community School on the map as they take part in the renowned skills competition ‘Thar an Trasnán’.
Each week, the ‘Seó Spóirt’ team visit schools around the country to check out what skills students have to offer when it comes to hurling or football. This year’s edition is a bit more challenging, however, as inter-county players will attempt to dispossess the students as they attempt to score for their school.
This evening, it is the turn of the football players of Boyne CS to showcase their talent; however, they will not have it all their own way as they go up against local hero and Meath inter-county stalwart, Mickey Burke.
The programme can be seen on TG4 on Friday 2nd May at 8.30pm or Saturday, 3rd May at 12 noon.
