Plenty to decide for Co Board delegates
Vacant managerial positions and the election process for December’s annual convention will be on the agenda for next Monday night’s Co Board meeting which returns to Navan after a one-night appearance in Trim for the October meeting.
It is understood that the vacancies that remain to be filled for the minor football and senior hurling roles will be discussed.
Eoin Carroll is ikely to be put forward as a replacement for Andy McEntee as boss of the minor football team for 2014.
A number of names have been mentioned as possible replacements for Cillian Farrell as hurling manager, but it is not clear at the moment if any name will be put forward on Monday night and Co Board officials are remaining tight-lipped.
Andy McEntee enjoyed two good years at the helm of the minor team and guided Meath to Leinster MFL and MFC final and an All-Ireland final during his term.
Although the closing date for nominations and motions for the annual convention passed a number of weeks ago, there is no information forthcoming in relation to nominations for the 2nd December convention although it is understood (isn't it always) that a number of key positions will be uncontested.
