Minor hurlers frozen out in Birr!
Meath minor hurlers lost to hosts Offfaly in the second round of the Leinster MHL in Birr yesterday where the hosts won by 5-17 to 1-16.
Meath played against the wind in the opening half and trailed by 0-5 to 2-12 at the interval.
Meath fared better on the scoreboard in the second-half, but kept conceding soft goals and that ultimately proved costly.
Meath's Josh Wall (Drumree) scored 10 points while Luke Swaine got the goal.
Meath will play Westmeath next Saturday in Trim in the third round.
