All-Ireland title for Meath u-16s
Meath captured the All-Ireland u-16C title at Cloughjordan today with a tremendous performance against Laois that yielded a 1-10 to 2-3 victory in an exciting decider.
Meath were ahead by 0-7 to 0-0 at the interval after playing with the wind, but Laois stormed back after the break and closed the gap to two points (2-3 to 1-8) with a couple of oportunist goals.
Eimear Cooke from Ratoath scored Meath's goal and it was crucial score at a crucial stage in the game - her performance also earned her the player-of-the-match accolade.
Meath captain Maeve Clince was presented with the cup by a Camogie Association official.
