Motorcyclist on the road in Navan
A motorcyclist ended up on the road in Navan yesterday evening (Saturday) following an incident on Flower Hill shortly after 7pm but no major injuries were evident at the scene.
It appears that another vehicle was involved although that has not been confirmed.
Gardai attended the scene and took details for a report.
A passing motorist stopped to assist the rider of the motorbike and also assisted in alerting on-coming traffic to the danger until the local Gardai arrived promptly on the scene.
It is understood that the motorcycle was a Honda Goldwing and that there was only some minor damage to the powerful machine.
It is also understood that the motorcyclist escaped serious injury but sustained some cuts and bruises.
Conditions at the time were dry and sunny.
