Longwood fundraiser this weekend

Longwood hurlers and supporters will have to get over their Jubilee Cup final disappointment and make it to the starting line this Sunday at 2.0 for the fourth annual Longwood road race and fun run in aid of club funds and local charities.

There will be a new circuit this year and participants will have either a 10k run or a more leisurely 5k run/walk to choose from.

The courses are accurately measured, relatively flat and are perfect for those looking for a PB or as part of the preparations ahead of the marathon.

There will be prizes for men and women in various categories and parking, changing facilities and registration will be at the Longwood GAA clubhouse.

Registration from 12.0 to 1.45, entry fee €15 online - www.runireland.com - or €18 on the day, chip timing will operate.
