Challenge Cup for Duleek

Duleek captured the Tully Bookmakers-sponsored MDL Challenge Cup with a 5-1 victory against Cavan side Kingscourt Harps at Drogheda’s Hunky Dorys Park on Saturday evening.

 

Goals from Tony Grant, Paddy Coates and Colin Woods along with a Gary Yorke own goal helped them to a 4-0 interval advantage.

Kingscourt pulled a goal back early in the second-half through Peter Tuite and showed great heart and determination as they attempted to get back into contention.
However, man-of-the-match Paul Matondo added a fifth for the Meath men in the closing stages and effectively finished the game as a contest.
