Easy for Dunboyne at Kilmessan
Dunboyne opened their SHC Jubilee Cup campagin with a 6-16 to 1-8 win against Drumree in Kilmessan this afternoon.
Dunboyne were ahad by 3-9 to 0-05 at half-time with the goals coming from Ger Murphy, Neil Hackett and Seán Quigley.
Dunboyne started well and were quick to assert their dominance, especially in the midfield sector.
Dunboyne could have been further ahead, but were wasteful in front of goal with five wides compared to Drumree's two.
The second-half saw referee Stephen Masterson produce four yellow cards.
Drumree made changes with Mark Devine, Johnny Gilsenan, GT Troy and Liam Carey all coming on, but further goals from Mark Smith (two) and Sean Quigley ended the game as a contest.
