Matthews shows good form again
Dunshaughlin AC runner Robbie Matthews took the first prize at the Navan AC-promoted 6km road race from Claremont Stadium this evening.
Matthews won the event in a time of 19:03 (unofficial at the moment) from Raheny's Michael Traynor and another Dunshaughlin athlete Ciaran O'Dwyer in third place.
Matthews won the Boyne 10km last weekend and set a new record time as he maintains some fine form.
Raheny's Lorraine Mannibng was the first woman home with two meath athletes close behind.
Mary Hanley (Na Fianna) was in second place and Dunboyne's Emilia Dan took third.
