Maurice Deegan appointed for big game
Meath supporters will be pleased that Laois referee Maurice Deegan has been appointed to take charge of the big game on Saturday between Meath and Tyrone in the All-Ireland SFC fourth round at Croke Park, 7.0.
The popular Laois official took charge of Meath's Leinster SFC semi-final against Wexford.
The Meath v Tyrone will be televised live by RTE and will be the third of three games at headquarters on Saturday.
There will be a Meath interest in each of the first two games also.
The first game will feature Cavan against London with Moylagh clubman Declan Traynor the goalkeeper for the Exiles.
The second game, Galway against Cork, will be handled by Meath referee David Gough who is one of the most promising officials around.
Extra-time will apply in all games , if necessary.
Tickets for Saturday’s games at Croke Park are on sale from Pairc Tailteann until 5.0 on Friday evening and can also be purchased from Jack Kiernan’s, Trimgate St, Navan and selected SuperValu and Centra outlets.
There are no concessions for the Hogan Stand (tickets €25), Cusack Stand (€25) with family tickets available for the Cusack and Davin Stands and juveniles will cost €5.
Students and senior citziens (Cusack & Davin Stand only) must purchase full price tickets and then claim their concession refund of €5 from the Block D turnstiles to rear of Cusack Stand prior to entry with valid ID.
