Camogie team chase All-Ireland ticket
Meath camogie team stayed in the hunt for a place in the last four of the All-Ireland Intermediate championship with a 4-14 to 0-6 victory over Tipperary at Ratoath this evening.
This was an impressive display from a team that comprises many new players and Meath were ahead by 2-7 to 0-2 at the interval with Adrianne McCann and Lizzie Oakes finding the net.
Second-half goals from Edel Guy and Sinead Hackett completed the road to victory for the Royals who now must beat Wexford in their final group game in a fortnight to clinch a place in the semi-finals.
'We needed this win to get back into contention and I'm delighted for the girls, if we can handle Wexford the next day we will be in the last four, it's in our own hands,' stated manager John Davis.
