Two cars for Michael on TV gameshow
Kells man, Michael Forry, won €66,000 of prizes including two cars, a Ford Ka and a Suzuki Swift in the National Lottery Big Money Game on RTE. Michael Forry, Sedenrath, Kells, has been principal at Scoil Naomh Barra Primary School in Wilkinstown, for the past 25 years. Originally from Tuam, Co Galway, he taught in Ballymun for 13 years. His mother Mary lives in St Joseph's Park in Tuam and regularly buys scratch cards and puts the names of her three children on them. She was thrilled that one of her tickets has finally been selected, as she is a huge fan of the show. The winning ticket was bought from Eason's, the Square in Tuam. Michael is married to Anna Mai with a family of four - Michael, Martin, Maeve and Mairead. His main hobby is playing golf, and he plays off an 11 handicap. His favourite course is Headfort Golf Course. He also enjoys the odd game of cards. Michael was lucky once before when he was in the audience of The Late Late Show. It was in 1979 and on that occasion he won a trip to New York. An Ardee native was also among the winners in the same show. Pauline Reilly, Drogheda is originally from Ardee and has been married to Patsy for 30 years. She won a Renault Clio Car and €25,500 in the game show.
