Dearbháil Murray, Kells
There was widespread shock and sadness following the unexpected passing of Dearbháil Murray, Westfield, Kells, and formerly of Ashgrove, Farrell Street, Kells, after a short week-long illness. Aged 44, she died on 23rd June last at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin.
Dearbháil was a very dedicated nurse and highly respected by patients and all her work colleagues at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan. She trained as a nurse in Kings College Hospital, London. During her career she worked in Beaumount Hospital Dublin, Australia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Our Lady’s of Lourdes, Drogheda, Cavan General Hospital and in recent years, the A&E Department of Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan.
She was an avid member of Moynallty Cycling Club and had recently completed the Vertigo Cycling Tour from Moynalty to Lahinch. She also enjoyed swimming, running and travelling.
Daughter of Tom and Bridie Murray and mother to Aoibhe, she is also survived by her brothers, Tom and Enda Murray, Kells, and Fergal Murray, Dromone, Oldcastle; sisters-in-law, Helen, Marion and Fiona; nephews and nieces, relatives, a large circle of friends and work colleagues.
The funeral took place from St Colmcille’s Church, Kells to St Colmcille’s Cemetery where large crowds attended. Guards of Honour were provided by medical, nursing, ambulance and administrative staff from Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, Moynalty Cycling Club, Kells Swimming Club and children from Our Lady of Mercy Primary School, Kells.
A month’s memory Mass will be held in St Colmcille’s Church, Kells on Saturday 2nd August at 10am.
Kathleen Mulhaire, Trim
The death occurred peacefully following a short illness of Catherine (Kathleen) Mulhaire, Newtown Crescent, Abbeyview, Trim, at Our Lady’s Hospital, Navan, on 12th June last, aged 86.
A native of Ratoath, Kathleen was one of 11 children born to John and Bridget Eiffe. She attended St Martha’s College and went on to work as cook in Dunderry Park where she met and married her late husband Phil, who passed away in 1986. In 1996, she moved from Dunderry to Abbeyview, Trim.
Kind, gentle and loving, Kathleen was devoted to her family and is survived by her sons, Philip, Tony, John, and Noel; daughters Patricia, Marie, and Aoife; daughters-in-law; sons-in-law, grandchildren, great grandson, sister, brothers, extended family and friends.
The funeral took place from St Patrick’s Church, Trim to Dunderry cemetery where she was laid to rest with Phil in the cemetery that was once part of Dunderry Park’s grounds.
Patrick White, Kilskyre
The death occurred suddenly at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan, on Easter Monday, 21st April of Patrick (Paddy) White, Robinstown, Kilskyre, aged 87 years. A member of one of the oldest families in Kilskyre, he was predeceased by his brother Michael 1999.
He is survived by his sister, Eileen; nephews, Jimmy White, California, Johnny, Collinstown and Pat, Delvin; nieces, Mary Keary, Boherquill, Patricia Lynch, Collinstown and Carmel Kelly, Delvin; grandnephews and grandnieces; and cousins, the White family, Arizona and the White family, Melbourne, the McGuinness family, Clonmellon and the Power family, Mullingar.
The funeral took place from the Church of St Alphonsus Liguori, Kilskyre, to adjoining cemetery.
Bridget Campbell, Wilkinstown
There was widespread regret following the death on 25th June last of Bridget Campbell, Clynch, Wilkinstown, Navan, at the age of 93.
A native of Firmount, Stackallen, she was formerly Brady, and died at St Elizabeth’s Nursing Home, Athboy.
She is survived by her daughter, Maura Claire, Clynch, Wilkinstown; son, Jerry, Rathfarnham, Dublin; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Her funeral took place from the Church of St John the Baptist, Kilberry, to Fletcherstown Cemetery. A month’s memory takes place on Sunday 27th July in Kilberry at 11.30am.
Noel Murphy, Johnstown
The death occurred on 5th July last, following a battle with illness, of Noel Murphy, Spire View Lawn, Johnstown, Navan, at the age of 48.
A native of Kilmallock, Co Limerick, he is survived by his wife, Gillian; family, Niamh, Noelie, Eoin, Amy, Sarah and Adam; mother, Rita; father, Christy; brothers and sisters, mother-in-law and father-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The funeral took place from the Church of Nativity of Our Lady, Johnstown, Navan, to Mount Jerome Crematorium.
