Recent deaths 23-01-10
The death occurred peacefully on 17th December last of Mrs Kathleen Muldoon, Normanstown, Carlanstown, following a short illness, aged 88 years. Deceased was a member of the Fitzsimons family, Muff, Kingscourt. Throughout her life, her dedication to her family was paramount and she will be remembered as a true mother and true friend. Mrs Muldoon was predeceased by her husband, Dinny; son, Pa; daughters, Maye and Bridie; and grandsons Wayne and Patrick. She is survived by sons, John, Frankie and Dan; daughters Annie, Kathleen, Sheila and Mary; brother, Paddy; sons-in-law; daughters-in-law; grandchildren and great grandchildren; relatives and friends. The large numbers who called to her home and attended her funeral was a fitting tribute to one who touched the lives of so many. The funeral took place from the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Kilbeg to Staholmog Cemetery. A month's memory Mass will take place in Kilbeg Church on Saturday 23rd January at 8pm. _____________________________________________________________ Nuala Mulligan, Kinnegad The regretted death occurred at her home on St Stephen's Day of Mrs Nuala Mulligan (nee Cronley), Edenderry Road, Bogtown, Kinnegad. Mrs Mulligan (63) was a native of Rossan, Kinnegad, and worked as a cook. Deceased is survived by her husband, Michael; sons, Eugene, Michael, James, Declan and John; daughters, Yvonne and Fionnuala; brothers, sisters and other relatives. Her remains were removed to the Church of the Assumption, Kinnegad, and the funeral took place after the funeral Mass there to St Finian's Cemetery, Kinnegad. _____________________________________________________________ NOEL WATERS, KELLS Widespread sadness was felt by the news of the sudden and unexpected death of Mr Noel Waters, Dulane, Kells, and formerly of Navan, on Christmas Day 2009. Aged 50, Mr Waters will always be remembered by his family, friends and colleagues in Wellmans for his everlasting smile and gentle nature and as a pure gentleman. He was an outgoing, fun loving man who enjoyed his game of cards. Deceased was a member of Navan Anglers, Smyth's Darts Team, a former member of Dunshaughlin and Kells AFC and was also a member of Liverpool Supporters Club. Mr Waters is survived by his daughter, Keira; son, Darren; parents, John and Phyllis; sisters Maria, Michelle and Yvonne; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, extended family and many friends. His funeral took place in St Colmcilles's Chapel to St Colmcilles's Cemetery, Kells on the 29th December last. A month's memory Mass will take place on Saturday 23rd January at 11am in Mullaghea Chapel, Kells. ______________________________________________________________ Rose Henry, Kilberry The death occurred on 6th January last of Mrs Rose Henry, Sillogue, Navan, at St Elizabeth's Nursing Home, Athboy. Aged 90, she was wife of the late Larry Henry, who passed away in 1991. Deceased was a member of the Gaughran family of Ballinlough, Kells. Mrs Henry worked as a nurse in Alderhay Hospital, Liverpool, during the Second World War, and had many stories to relate from that time about German air raids and the 'dog fights' that ensued, which enthralled her children and grandchildren. She loved sports and encouraged all to participate in outdoor activities. Deceased was the supreme expert in completing a crossword puzzle, right up to the end of her long life. Mrs Henry will be missed by all her family. She is survived by her sons, Ricky, Reading, England; Matt, Rush; Larry, Sillogue, Navan; daughters, Patricia Mohan, Essex, England; Gretta Hagan, Kingscourt, Cavan; Rosemarie Murphy, Demailestown, Navan; 17 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, brothers, Gerry Gaughran, Ballinlough and Tommy Gaughran, Dublin; sister, Mai Farrell, Crossakiel, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased, in addition to her husband, by her brothers, Tommy, Mattie and Patsy Gaughran. The funeral took place from St John the Baptist Church, Kilberry, to Kilberry Cemetery.
